Started a thread on this but not much play... maybe you guys can help : Someone more educated than me, please tell me if you know... When are we ??? I mean didn't Julius Caesar kind of kink things up when he came up with the leap year? Same thing with the daylight savings time... I mean I guess concerning DST we do switch back and forth. Serious question guys and I'm sure there are people here that can shed some light on it !!! Just in time (  ) too.... Much Love, EDIT TO ADD: If you go to the Julian Calender and put in Dec 21, 2012 you will see on the Georgian calender that the date for us is 1/3/13. This is why using a certain date, say 12/21/12, is never a good idea. Our dating system has been manipulated so many times, none of us know for sure how long ago something happened or how soon something might happen by a date. The Mayan calendar is the Winter Solstic which occurs on December 21/22, depending on your part of the world, not sure on the 2012 part of it, who is? Good to see you all are on top of things. Thanks much for the calendar link, that's awesome. I've heard that the stars are the best time keeping method. I've wondered though since we have discovered that the stars can travel as does our sun, how can we ultimately define a keeping of time? I'm still on this project I'm doing, but I'll check in later.
