Wow Shad.

Was just watching a video about Comet ISON, it might have companions and they actually discovered it a year before they have told us about ISON. Here I am trying to understand why in the world they would hide the date it was discovered and trying to come up with a reason (yeah I have one)for the cover-up. Thinking about all the methane horror stories and wondering if they are worried a companion could bump us releasing tons of methane and if something else hits or just flies over and sparks that methane.

Then I read your statement:

The heliosphere, which is the magnetic field for the sun, is vulnerable to external fields. A strong magnetic field outside the solar system could interact with ours in very strange ways. Either strengthening or weaking our field.

Theres strong electromagnetic currents in large 'comets' also.
