moxiechick: You have probably thought about this but every time I read this about your birds out of the side of your vision I think "floaters". My mom use to think she was seeing birds out of the corner of her eye - peripheral - until her eye doctor told her they were floaters. Some floaters, especially new ones, are very clear and black - then fade over time.

I kept biting my fingers, but the urge to say this just got to be too much. Hope you aren't offended and think I don't believe you. Not true, but I do wonder about floaters especially since the birds are gone when you look up but appear when you look away. Hope you know I would never say anything to offend or hurt.
