I'm kind of torn about the hog farmer. I've just started reading about his battles, so I don't have all the info I want yet.

One the one hand, the breed/breeds he's raising are/have been considered feral. They really are feral down here and I've seen the damage they do to the land, livestock and people. They truly are a menace and dangerous here.

On the other hand, he's raising them in a confined area and they aren't running around the county eating people's dogs. I guess it could be looked at like the people that raise wolves as pets or even rare, heritage breed chickens. They are so many old breeds of farm animals that aren't allowed in this country.

I leaning toward the attitude of, if they aren't loose and hurting anyone/anything, what's the problem?

Thanks for posting, AKO.

Yes you are right too but his are cross bred with his (now dead) boar and confined and my point is where does it end? Just like the plants eventually GM is all that will be allowed to us and it's not that far off we'll see it in our life time if we don't all take a stand!
