Still waiting for the arrival of an expected Coronal Mass Ejection that left the Sun on May 17.

The predicted arrival time past Earth was around 14:00 UTC. Within the ACE Spacecraft data from today at 14:30 UTC, a minor increase in proton density (orange), temperature (green) and fluctuation in the Bz/IMF component (red) was detected. It is possible that a bulk of the plasma cloud missed Earth, or the impact past our planet was too weak to clearly notice.

There is also a chance that the actual interplanetary shock (IP Shock) is running late and could still sweep past Earth. I will continue to monitor conditions and update when necessary.

Moderate seismic activity of the volcano continues. According to video data, a moderate gas-steam activity and incandescence above the lava dome were observed. Satellite data showed a thermal anomaly over the volcano.

55.83 N, 160.39 E; Elevation 10119 ft (3085 m)

Strong seismicity of the volcano was registered. An amplitude of volcanic tremor was up to 3.7 mcm/s. Explosive-effusive eruption continues: lava flows continues to effusing from the Southern fissure on Tolbachinsky Dol. A thermal anomaly was noting on satellite images at the northern area of Tolbachinsky Dol.

Moderate seismic activity of the volcano continues. Video data showed a growth of an extrusion at the volcano summit continues. Incandescence of the volcano summit, hot avalanches on the western and eastern volcanic flanks, and strong and moderate gas-steam activity accompany this process. Satellite data showed the volcano was obscured by clouds.

Ya, feeling it also. That is why I started checking the alignments. We have a CME coming in which should really put some stressors on this world of ours. Just hope it isn't a big one in a populated area.

Yes the oort cloud encompasses the boundaries of our solar system and has a magnetic pull with our sun.

What is the Oort cloud?
Scientists think that there is a group of rocks and ice that forms a cloud-like region surrounding our Solar System. It is a collection of comet like objects orbiting far away from the Sun. It is named after a Dutch astronomer Jan Oort who refined and popularized the theory.



The comets in the Oort cloud are at distances of 50,000 to 100,000 times the distance between Earth and the Sun. That is 1,000 times further away from the Sun than Pluto is and about one fourth the distance to the nearest star. Light would take a year to travel that far.

How did the Oort cloud start?
The Oort cloud objects may have started closer to the Sun during the Solar System's formation. Then gas giants pulled them far away with their gravity. The Oort cloud objects were sent in all directions, making the Oort cloud ball shaped instead of disk shaped. The gravity of other stars made the objects' orbits more circular, making the objects stay far away from the Sun. Maybe the gravity of other stars could sometimes send the objects back toward the Sun. We would see them as comets.

One object discovered so far is Sedna. It is 1,180 to 1,800 km across. Its orbit stretches from 76 to 928 times Earth's distance from the Sun. Sedna takes about 11,250 Earth years to orbit the Sun once. The last time Sedna was where it is now in its orbit, Earth's last Ice Age was ending! Some scientists consider it an inner Oort cloud object. Others think that it should be included in the Kuiper Belt, making the belt bigger.

Kamchatka makes me nervous had a very disturbing dream about it once, but it was after researching european vulcanism, so it was fresh on my mind, but it can pop off a big event.
