Looks like they have figured out the mystery behind the deaths in south Alabama. The initial hospital news release had stated these things had tested negative, hence the involvement of the CDC. Good thing we have the gov't to tell us what to think.... from the press release here (less then 50%) [ link to adph.org] The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADP H) and the Houston County Health Department have determined that the cause of a respirat ory illness cluster in southeast Alabama was a combination of influenza A, rhinovirus, the viru s associated with the common cold, and bacterial pneumonia. Quoting: AC 5341 Really?!! They just named every common virus all rolled up in one bug? How unlikely is that?
