Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm having ALOT of physical symptoms this evening, nothing ear related, big pressure feelings and toe tingles. I'm not saying its anywhere related but I came on to check for solar events and theres NADA.
I was reading notes from a mountain man, real mtn man as this guy lives 7 months out of the year in upper washington state and he said the cloud formations over the last week have been very omminous, earthquake specific, just throwing all of this out there.






One of the possible explanations for this relationship is the Lithosphere-Atmosphere-Ionosphere Coupling mechanism, which provides the physical links between the different geochemical, atmospheric and ionospheric variations and tectonic activity. Briefly, the primary process is the ionization of the air produced by an increased emanation of radon (and other gases) from the Earth’s crust in the vicinity of [an] active fault. The increased radon emanation launches the chain of physical processes,which leads to changes in the conductivity of the air and a latent heat release (increasing air temperature) due to water molecules attachment (condensation) to ions."

The thinking is that in the days before an earthquake, the great stresses in a fault as it is about to give cause the releases large amounts of radon.

The radioactivity from this gas ionises the air on a large scale and this has a number of knock on effects. Since water molecules are attracted to ions in the air, ionisation triggers the large scale condensation of water.

But the process of condensation also releases heat and it is this that causes infrared emissions. "Our first results show that on March 8th a rapid increase of emitted infrared radiation was observed from the satellite data," say Ouzounov and co.

These emissions go on to effect the ionosphere and its total electron content.

Not everyone buys that explanation of the lithosphere-atmosphere-ionosphere mechanism. Here's an alternative theory as reported today in California Watch:


Friedmann Freund, another NASA scientist and a researcher at San Jose State University, says the observed atmospheric changes have nothing to do with radon and other gases escaping from the earth.

"There is no evidence that links radon emanation closely with seismic or pre-seismic events," he said. "There is another much more powerful, much more general and observationally supported process which causes massive air ionization, when stresses build up deep below earthquakes."

He says the electromagnetic changes are caused by extreme pressure on the rocks themselves. His theory is simple: If you squeeze a block of granite rock hard enough, it’ll become electrically active.

In 2007, Freund and others set up a laboratory experiment in which they squeezed a rock really hard, while detecting the emissions around it. As soon as pressure was applied to the rock, the electrical field around it changed

Usually that it is a HUGE quake. 7.5+'s usually put red but those are quakes themselves when they show up on there. These are signals so I am leaning towards the USA. Scratching my head over there.

Two explosions in the vicinity of the LA sinkhole in the past 48 hrs. I'm thinking the NM is shaking. I pray I'm wrong or pressure is being released. Very ominous .

Thats alot of action, one big spike that may or may not be shear pressure release. Doesn't look like much of anything is showing up?

Not yet anyway, could be a big earthquake somewhere possibly southeast US. We'll have to wait and see.

Well for what its worth I'm about 3 hours northwest of new madrid and my spidey senses are going bonkers, not saying anything, just saying.LOL
We should see something show up on one of the charts soon, as some of those signals are hours old, unless they aren't allowing them to be seen?

Hi Gomez. Good site. Both Georgia and Alabama have shown movement the last 3-4 hours. Only thing to do is watch and pray.

could be a swarm but more than likely shear pressure build and release with the big spike being a piezo rumble, or big quake 6 to 7 mag. Thats alot of spiking though?

Doesn't seem to be any bad weather involved, could be subduction movement from the sinkhole, although the big spike would be a memorable event

Human activities can also be the direct or indirect cause of significant earthquakes. Injecting fluid into deep wells for waste disposal, filling reservoirs with water, and firing underground nuclear test blasts can, in limited circumstances, lead to earthquakes. These activities increase the strain within the rock near the location of the activity so that rock slips and slides along pre-existing faults more easily.


Could be some drastic sinkhole work being done.

It's not in our area (NE Alabama). We have a couple of animal precursors in our house. They run around the backyard sniffing in straight lines and then go hide under tables in the house. Very consistent, they haven't missed one here or when we were in Wyoming.

About all I could find close, long distance quakes usually have a different signature. Rev Mikey or Q would be a big help.

Thanks Shad, I was out for awhile. Recurring eye disease the docs never could figure out. I wasn't able to see well enough to read. Around 40 doses of steroids in the eye and the IOP finally came back down to normal a couple days ago.

Between fires and EQ watching and pm's, wow.

I haven't even been paying attention to EQ sites as everything has been so quiet. Spidey senses kicked in and thought I better check.

I'm glad you're OK, that had to be unnerving, may good health follow you in you future days!

I'd say a 9.5 or above quake is coming. But not USA. I think it's somewhere else on the other side of the Pacific far from US West Coast.
