Talked about this a few weeks ago
Fracking Is Already Straining U.S. Water Supplies
As the level of hydraulic fracturing of oil and gas wells in the United States has intensified in recent years, much of the mounting public concern has centered on fears that underground water supplies could be contaminated with the toxic chemicals used in the well-stimulation technique that cracks rock formations and releases trapped oil and gas. But in some parts of the country, worries are also growing about fracking’s effect on water supply, as the water-intensive process stirs competition for the resources already stretched thin by drought or other factors.
Every fracking job requires 2 million to 4 million gallons of water, according to the Groundwater Protection Council. The Environmental Protection Agency, or EPA, has estimated that the 35,000 oil and gas wells used for fracking consume between 70 billion and 140 billion gallons of water each year. That’s about equal, EPA says, to the water use in 40 to 80 cities with populations of 50,000 people, or one to two cities with a population of 2.5 million each.

Egypt cuts all ties with Syria, withdraws envoy - President Morsi
Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi said Egypt has decided to cut all ties with Syria starting Saturday and withdraw the envoy from Damascus, Reuters reported. Syria's embassy in Cairo is also to be closed.

"We have decided to close down the Syrian embassy in Cairo," said Morsi during a conference of Sunni Muslim clerics in support of the Syrian uprising at Cairo Indoor Stadium, according to local newspaper Ahram online. "The Egyptian envoy in Damascus will also be withdrawn."

The President added that Hezbollah, the Shiite Islamic militant group based in Lebanon, must leave Syria, adding "these are serious words".

"We stand against Hezbollah in its aggression against the Syrian people," he said. "There is no space or place for Hezbollah in Syria.”

H1N1 cases rise sharply in Venezuela
June 15, 2013 – VENUZELA – The number of H1N1 swine flu cases rose sharply in Venezuela during the last week of May, the health ministry said Wednesday, refusing to disclose whether any deaths have been linked to the outbreak. Health Minister Isabel Iturria, explaining why deaths would not be reported, blamed “political or economic interests” for creating alarm over the outbreak. The ministry said there were 414 new cases of H1N1 in the week from May 26 to June 1, pushing the total number of cases from 724 to 1,138. The virus was detected for the first time in Venezuela in 2009. The current outbreak has surpassed one in 2011 that resulted in 900 cases and eight deaths.

New Read Just out....
‘Full Rip 9.0’: major Pacific Northwest quake, major shocker
Sandi Doughton’s “Full Rip 9.0” is an eye-opening look at the likelihood of a major earthquake in the Pacific Northwest, and the inevitable catastrophe if and when one hits. Doughton speaks June 18 at the Seattle Public Library.
“Full Rip” may make you a little jittery (and cause you to re-evaluate your family’s earthquake readiness), but it is a captivating read even as it challenges long-held assumptions — including the firmness of the ground under your feet.

Toxic waste spill in northern Alberta biggest of recent disasters in North America
The substance is the inky black colour of oil, and the treetops are brown. Across a broad expanse of northern Alberta muskeg, the landscape is dead. It has been poisoned by a huge spill of 9.5 million litres of toxic waste from an oil and gas operation in northern Alberta, the third major leak in a region whose residents are now questioning whether enough is being done to maintain aging energy infrastructure.

The spill was first spotted on June 1. But not until Wednesday did Houston-based Apache Corp. release estimates of its size, which exceeds all of the major recent spills in North America. It comes amid heightened sensitivity about pipeline safety, as the industry faces broad public opposition to plans for a series of major new oil export pipelines to the U.S., British Columbia and eastern Canada.

ALASKA VOLCANO OBSERVATORY WEEKLY UPDATE
Friday, June 14, 2013 1:30 PM AKDT (Friday, June 14, 2013 21:30 UTC)

VENIAMINOF VOLCANO (CAVW #1102-07-)
56°11'52" N 159°23'35" W, Summit Elevation 8225 ft (2507 m)
Current Volcano Alert Level: WATCH
Current Aviation Color Code: ORANGE

Mount Veniaminof volcano began erupting on Thursday morning, June 13 following several days of increasing seismicity. On Saturday, June 8, AVO elevated the Aviation Color Code to YELLOW and the Volcano Alert Level to Advisory in response to increasing levels of seismic tremor recorded beneath the volcano. Nothing unusual was observed in satellite imagery. An FAA web camera in Perryville recorded minor steam with possible ash emissions rising from the intracaldera cinder cone on Monday, June 10. Seismic tremor continued to gradually but steadily increase over the next several days. On the morning of Thursday, June 13, intense elevated surface temperatures were recorded in satellite images at the intracaldera cinder cone indicating that an eruption was likely underway. AVO raised the Color Code/Alert Level to ORANGE/WATCH. Late that evening, at 11:23 pm AKDT (07:23 UTC on June 14), a pilot observed an ash plume up to about 12,000 ft above sea level and a lava flow issuing from the intracaldera cinder cone. Residents in Perryville and Port Moller also reported observing the ash emissions at about 11:30 pm AKDT (07:30 UTC on June 14). Observers located west of the volcano reported that no ash was issuing from the intracaldera cinder cone this morning; however ash emission could resume abruptly at any time. Refer to the NWS Alaska Aviation Weather Unit ( [link to aawu.arh.noaa.gov] for updates on SIGMETs related to ash emissions.

Recent satellite images show intense elevated surface temperatures at the intracaldera cinder cone consistent with the pilot report of the presence of lava. Volcanic tremor continues. The seismic network at Veniaminof is not fully functional compared to that operating during the last eruption (2005), so the accuracy with which we can interpret ongoing seismicity is diminished.

Recent eruptions of Veniaminof volcano have all occurred from vents located on the intracaldera cinder cone and were characterized by brief bursts of ash emission and small explosions. Ash plumes associated with this type of activity are typically diffuse and generally do not reach more than 20,000 feet above sea level. Ash fallout is typically limited to the flanks of the volcano. Minor emissions of steam and ash may persist for for weeks to months.

Mount Veniaminof volcano is an andesitic stratovolcano with an ice-filled 10-km diameter summit caldera located on the Alaska Peninsula, 775 km (480 mi) southwest of Anchorage and 35 km (22 mi) north of Perryville. Veniaminof is one of the largest (~ 300 km3) and most active volcanic centers in the Aleutian Arc and has erupted at least 13 times in the past 200 years. Recent significant eruptions of the volcano occurred in 1993-95 and 2005. Both were moderate Strombolian eruptions producing intermittent low-level jets of incandescent lava fragments, and low-level emissions of steam and ash from the main intracaldera cinder cone. During the 1993-95 activity, a small lava flow was extruded into the summit caldera ice field producing an ice pit. Minor ash-producing explosions occurred in 2002, 2004, early 2005, November 2006, and February 2008. Previous historical eruptions have produced ash plumes that reached 6,000 m (20,000 ft) above sea level and ash fallout that blanketed areas within about 40 km (25 mi) of the volcano.

Mount Veniaminof is an active stratovolcano located on the Alaska Peninsula. The Alaska Volcano Observatory currently rates Veniaminof as Aviation Color Code ORANGE and Volcano Alert Level WATCH as of June 13, 2013, 2030 (UTC) after satellite observations of elevated temperature at its summit.[3] The mountain was named after Ioann (Ivan Popov) Veniaminov (1797–1879), a Russian Orthodox missionary priest (and later a prominent bishop in Russia) whose writings on the Aleut language and ethnology are still standard references. He is a saint of the Orthodox Church, known as Saint Innocent for the monastic name he used in later life.
The volcano was the site of a colossal (VEI 6) eruption around 1750 BC. This eruption left a large caldera. In modern times the volcano has had numerous small eruptions (over ten of them since 1930); these are located at a cinder cone in the middle of the caldera.
Veniaminof has one of the highest elevations of Alaskan volcanoes. Partly for this reason, it is covered by a glacier that fills most of the caldera. Because of the glacier and the caldera walls, there is the possibility of a major flood from a future glacier run.

Hi All including Lurkers,

I am curious to know if any of you have been following the Astral Traveler YT channel?

I just sat and watch a whole bunch of his videos and it has my spidey senses going crazy.

Was it last week or the week before when Shad and WA were trying to figure out what was hitting us?

Well he has a video for that and as I watched it I felt it really made a lot of sense. Although, I struggle with the Niburu thing, I often wonder if it is a name for something entirely different and has been abused beyond recognition.

Anyway, I am going to post his channel here for you all to review and come to your own conclusions. I went directly to recent uploads and started at this one from June 1st and went through to today's video.

I am feeling strongly that I should add his videos here along with morning news and I am not sure why, time will tell, just need to follow my instincts on this.

EDIT TO ADD: Im Just Sayin an WA he talks about the shift that you were recently discussing.

Re: F.O.G.
Very interesting. I will try to check it out tomorrow. Went to see Superman-Man of Steel this afternoon. Had a headache before going and just worse when we got home. Wasn't even that good of a movie!!

I do think the earth shifted on its axis a whole lot more than tp tb will ever let us know. After talking to my genus cousin - yes he really is a smarty pants with an IQ over 160 something - he and his buddies showed me how they figured it out using star charting and a navigation instrument. Their math abilities were way beyond me but I was able to follow just about everything else.

It was amazing to watch these guys work at my aunt's kitchen table. Only one of them was an actual astrophysicist and he talked pure gibberish! I think he was trying to show off because I caught the other guys rolling their eyes at him when they didn't think I was looking.

When I told them about many people mentioning that their gardening seemed to be more like southern NM instead of northern Colorado, they were all over it. One went home to get a world globe and by the time they were done - about 3am - it looked something like the image I posted above only not as sideways.

New Mexico is so dry and has been since all the major quaking occurred. Think of it being more like Mexico. I don't know if they are right but it did make sense. So many of us have noticed the sun doesn't rise and set in the same locations as it used to on say June 1st. We all know it moved around during the year and are smart enough to know the difference.

I totally agree WA. For one thing, when driving through town, where I grew up, I have NEVER seen the sun in the position (to the right of a telephone pole at top of hill in center of town) it is in this June, never!! I've been driving these streets for almost 40 years, you get to know where things are and when, seasonally.

Secondly, my chair on my back porch is in same spot for 5 years. I prop my feet up on a footstooland sit out there every day, all summer. Every other year, I would be in full sun by 1:00 pm at this time of year. This year........only my feet/ankles are in the sun. To me though, in thinking about it, it seems more like the nature of time has changed as much as it is about the earth's tilt and or pole shifts, or possibly, the whole galaxy has shifted its position.

Little icon at the End of the IE address bar...looks like a piece of paper ripped in half. Click on that, it'll turn "Compatibility mode" off or on.
