As a senator he voted against raising the debt ceiling saying it showed a lack of leadership and that America needed to learn to live with in its means AND THEN spent so much in just two years that he's almost doubled the debt ceiling. 2. Making a deal with the republicans that IF they would extend unemployement benefits for 99 weeks, he'd let the Bush tax cuts stay in place for a few more years AND THEN as soon as he got what he wanted, saying again he's getting rid of the Bush tax cuts. 3. Passing the heathcare bill AND THEN exempting congress and half of the large corporations in the country from participation. I chose these because they show a lack of honesty and integrity and those are the foremost attributes we should seek in our political leadership. I think most politicians from either side of the aisle are bought and paid for and the ones who aren't are so demonized by the controlled MSM that they have little chance of ever getting into office. The average Joe won't turn off American Idol and learn a thing or two about what's going on with their elected offocials; they just beleive whatever they hear in the MSM. |
