WRAL news. You have a maximum 5 mins to take shelter, TN is rain-wrapped so you won't see the leading edge before it crosses your vicinity. Hook echo with 115kt shear on the doppler. Debris already been reported by ground obs.

AT 345 PM EDT...TRAINED WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED A TORNADO. THIS
TORNADO WAS LOCATED NEAR LAKE WHEELER...OR 6 MILES SOUTHEAST OF
CARY...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 55 MPH.

THIS IS A TORNADO EMERGENCY FOR THE CITY OF RALEIGH.

TAKE COVER NOW. MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF A
STURDY BUILDING. AVOID WINDOWS. IF IN A MOBILE HOME...VEHICLE OR
OUTDOORS...MOVE TO THE CLOSEST SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER. IF NO SHELTER IS
AVAILABLE LIE DOWN IN A LOW LYING AREA. PROTECT YOURSELF FROM FLYING
DEBRIS.

THINK ABOUT THIS!

The universe created life to be observed, without an observer, it never existed. So it is a mathematical proof that the universe created life.

Looked to be a 1/4 mile wedge, although F2/F3 in nature by predictions. It looked to luckily be diminishing by the time it hit the city itself so they definitely dodged a bullet this time with only superficial damage it seems to buildings and the usual things as tree's, signs etc.

The tornado that touched down (in Raleigh? not sure) must have been huge!

They said very old BRICK buildings were DESTROYED. Not damaged, but completely destroyed!

I have a feeling we're all in for some wild weather this spring, summer, and fall!

Sure, just when I moved into an apartment with NO basement! uhoh

Re: BREAKING: Tornado in Raleigh, NC. Take cover NOW
Chase-talk is that the mid-states have yet another 4-8 hours of these storms, with more 'high-risk' potential further still to the East. Hence why the SPC has a risk of long-track destructive tornadoes throughout all of today in the target risk areas. This isn't over once the squall-line threat moves out for anyone in the area, keep a eye on the threats to the East aswell.

Leave the HAARP stuff out for another day ok. People are currently being injured or worse by all this today.

WRAL currently showing a trailer park that's just been hit by the remnants of the Tornado that crossed through Raleigh. About 5 Tornadoes confirmed on the ground at the moment in the state right this minute. More convective cells back-building by the hour, especially in the south.

So many Tornadoes I got the map out now to keep track of which & where. Rocky Mount now hit from that warning I ussed on the other post issued 30 mins ago. With Greenville due to be up for a significant Tornado in less than 15mins assuming the hail-core to the cells North doesn't suffocate the core shear.

Re: BREAKING: Tornado in Raleigh, NC. Take cover NOW
The Miss TN is a good example of just how these things can take you by surprise. Notice on the highway there's at least 2 cars that are spun-out by the mesocyclonic rotation, the furthest behind the rotation looks to have been thrown right across onto the opposing lanes across the barrier. With the van (just) escaping in the foreground.
