The real cause of the Moon appearing orange is that there is dust or other pollutants in the our atmosphere.

Well maybe thats the reason it was orange..I never thought of that! Even here in Missouri, the winds have probably carried it that far..hmmm yes after the large fires we had here in Southern CA it was BRIGHT FLAMING Orange as well ... could also be radioactive particles / materials in the sky blowing over from Japan... Yes, Im sure you are right. It really is an indicator of things here in our atmosphere...but breath taking!
