These media demonstrations could be part of a clever method to plausibly explain why they are working on these types of advanced robots. Of course, we are being told that it is part of future commercial technologies that are still in development. Imagine being chased down by a militarized version of these robots holding not one but two Samurai swords.

Most likely, these things run on an advanced fuel cell technology that was developed secretly hidden in plain sight as part of fuel cell technology for the Japanese automobile companies. Mazda is rumored to be developing one of the world's most advanced fuel cell technology.
