AlasBabylon User ID: 833993 United States 04/19/2011 08:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have tried to tell friends how I am able to save money and they are not interested. I had a coupon for $15 off of a $15 purchase at a store one of my friends shop and he was not interested when I offered to give it to him. I have told other friends about specific cash incentives/promotions. They act like they can't be bothered to make the extra effort to pocket an extra $100. Finally, I quit trying to share my expertise in financial matters and now when I hear my friends complain about not having any money, I just yawn. . |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1208531 United States 04/19/2011 09:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Turn off the cable tv, call around to lower your car insurance, shop at Aldi's or whatever cheap store is around you for your basics, use the dollar store for personal and paper products, plan a route when you run errands and save them til you have a bunch. Use coupons which you can find on the computer, stop buying junk food, beer and cigarettes; there is no better time than now to stop those habits. Buy extra when items are on sale. Stop eating out and forget about going to a movie, make a movie night at home complete with popcorn and candy. You won't miss the crying baby or the talker at all. Best of all, you can pause the movie when you need to. If spring ever decides to make an entrance, plant a garden and make it big. Freeze and can extra's to help get through the coming winter. And if you still have a house phone and cell phone, get rid of the house phone. Brown bag it for lunch and fix your drink before you leave the house instead of stopping to buy one. Turn down the heat and turn up the air conditioner. Our Sam's club gas station is always 10 cents a gallon cheaper than everyone else in town too. Use your common sense and you can come up with lots of ways to save. |

I usually paid 15 bux every few weeks but now I pay zero:) I use the clippers on my hair(#4 on top, #3 on the sides) and its super easy to do. Even fixing up the back and sides is very easy to do but sometimes the left side is a little tricky if your right handed. I had no choice because the price of gas was killing me. |
