Sorry about getting the numbers mixed up guys. Im a bit dyslexic with numbers. Got a spanking one time in first grade for making a seven backwards. Teacher had me trace it on the chalkboard about a gazillion times then told me to make it on my own. Try as I might, I still messed it up. She spanked me.

hey, i saw that on the tv screen on election night 2000.

We all know the doom is upon the world. We all know by now (or we SHOULD know) what it is we should be doing about it. Time is running out to make a decision. But there is one thing lacking in this forum of doom....the love of Jesus.
How many poeple out there really understand just what it was that Jesus did for you? How many people can comprehend what the Saviour went through just to give you a chance to make the right decision?

Here is what he did..

He came to earth...God HIMSELF came to earth. He entered this reality through the womb like we all do. He was Born...the creator of the UNIVERSE was born into a smelly cold stable reeking of animal manure. After which He grew up with everything we have to grow up with.

When he skinned His knee as a little boy..He too bled and cried. When he was bullied by the older Kids He too was hurt deeply. When he went through puberty He too learnt what it was to have uncontrollable hormones coursing through His veins. When He saw others being mistreated by their fellow men He too was horrified and shocked at the depravity man can do to man.
He lived a life like we all do...with its pain and its diseases and its injustices. He KNOWS how you feel and He fully UNDERSTANDS what it means to be Human. Remember this...He live under roman occupation and never knew freedom like we do today. He knew what it was like to be hungry...He knew what it was like to be alone and in pain. He had thick callouses on His feet and hands from the Hard labour He had to do as the son of a carpenter.
And when His time came HE KNEW it would lead to the cross....THE most agonising death a man could possibly die. He KNEW what agony was and He KNEW He was doing it all for YOU. All time and all eternity is bound up IN HIM. When He not only lived a Human Life as we all do...but died a very Human death in the worst way possible....HE SAW YOU and HE ALREADY KNEW YOU..for from His point of view you existed already. He knew EVERY sin and EVERY hurt you would ever face for he had faced the same and worse in his life already. He understands our weakness and our frailty. He KNOWS we cannot avoid sin and its consequences...so He had a plan...and if YOU were the only person to ever exist...HE STILL would have gone to the cross in the HOPE that you would someday accept HIS OFFER of salvation. He would have handed YOU the hammer and nails to pin Him to the cross. He would have let YOU whip him to shreds...all in the slight hope that perhaps you would see the truth...that he LOVES YOU and that He DIED for YOU as an individual...and yet at the same time he did it for ALL who would exist.

Jesus knows what it means to be human...this is why the way of the cross was the ONLY way to save us from ourselves. Jesus went through hell just for YOU. He did NOT have to die...He could have walked away any time he wanted to...but he went through it all....knowing the WHOLE TIME what was in store for Him. Could YOU picture yourself able to stand against the agony of His death? WOULD YOU die a death like that WILLINGLY and KNOWINGLY for someone YOU LOVE? Very few would. For those of you who saw the movie "THE PASSION" you have a small understanding of just what it was He went through JUST FOR YOU.

Tell me...if you saw the movie...would YOU be able to stand in a death like that? If you KNEW you could avoid it by a simple command I am sure you would run from such a death for ANY reason. But not Jesus...BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU WITH A DEPTH OF LOVE SO DEEP THAT TEN THOUSAND DEATHS LIKE THAT WOULD NOT STOP HIM LOVING YOU.

And all it was...was a simple offer....accept my love for you and my sacrifice for YOU...or NOT.
It is and always WILL BE your choice.
