Dogs are interesting pets. They offer limited protection, but it seems enough for some to brag about. Yet and still, even the most intimidating breeds can be put to slient rest by the bare hands a well-trained intruder, or with any low caliber pistol. They frequently turn on kids or eat them. No one can ever see it coming, that's the scary part, you never know when they will turn. If you are on the move and need to be stealthy, the average dog will give your position away quickly. They just have to bark at everything, to warn their feeble "masters" who depend on a four-legged beast that eats his own shit like a delicacy to defend him from harm. Then, dogs smell atrocious, even after grooming and bathing.

I know everyone here for the most part thinks very highly of dogs, dog abusers deserve the gallows, and yada yada yah. Got it. Just think about the bad side for a moment. Did you know most dogs are not fully housebroken? A dog will go on your carpets if you aren't on time to open the door for him, so don't oversleep dog owners. You can go to jail or be cited if your creature is a nuisance in your neighborhood...quite justifiably. If your creature harms a person, you face citation and your animal faces death.

Considering that most dog owners coop the animal up with them and treat the animal like a human child, or confine it to the back yard, most dogs never become socialized and they come up thinking they are human, or if tied, they go nuts...with dog instincts. That is why you see a lot of people getting bit, kids being mauled, dogs challenging the owner for top spot in the "pack". I know there are some good dogs and good dog owners. The piss poor ones that come a dime a dozen are the ones that have burned me out on dogs and the people who are cukoo over them.
