Oh yeah - recession? What recession?. Think of all the jobs to develop the land... new states created and more growth = more revenue! Private equity would spend trillions developing it! Yeah, get Trump to negotiate the deal. THEN we would all have jobs again. To sweeten the deal we can add granting citizenship to any Mexican who helps develop the land :) Think about it folks..

Anything is possible and of course such an idea would hammer out how much land would be sold. Still, all the extra land to develop - and the Mexicans would have a pile of cash to spend as they wished on their remaining land. Win/Win/Win

That would save a lot for the initial outlay anyway. Then comes the fun of mapping the land and preparing it for development. All that construction... all that development - would pull us right out of a recession thats for sure!
