About a year ago I could get 67 US cents for my Aussie dollar I can now get $1.07 US for my dollar and this is not due to any spectacular performance in my country.

the days of productivity saving the day are over, you must live in a vacuum or maybe 1958, the outsourcing of jobs overseas has been constant since the late 70's....natural resources and mining have been in decline in a similar fashion, and the only reason we still have mining going on anywhere in North America is the result of new ownership and demand of course both of those are China...a worthless dollar equals full employment...that deserves nothing in response except a midnight awakening for your next medication.....and a 50 percent drop in the dollar would equal roving bands of looters and folks desperate to survive as they hunt down those responsible for creating this mess we are all in....

All America has to do is return the the original Constitution of the United States, Abide by it like it was 1776, problems solved.

I live in an average American sort of town and maybe 1 person in 10 "goes to work", the rest are retired, selling dope, collecting food stamps or welfare,getting a Nut check,
on unemployment or whatever,
Of the small amount of people that are going to work, many are City, county,State or Federal employees,Cops,Lawyers,
Boutique clothing and furniture store owners, Baristas,Landscapers.
My point is that the USA used to make stuff, Aircraft,Tractors,cars,shoes,cloth,steel, not to mention agriculture, the USA was called the worlds bread basket for a reason,the USA could feed the entire world,and clothe them too.
Their is NO REAL REASON for famine,drought or need on planet Earth.
I have met 2 ladys today who were in tears because they can not pay for the gas and are behind in their bills,
Groceries and utilities, not high heals and cosmetics.
The streets are very quiet, people are staying home,not spending,learning to cook instead of ordering a Pizza.
Things are changing! look more closely.
I highly recomend a sight called Zero Hedge.com,
I do not think the mods will mind me making recomendation of that sight, I believe Trin posts their on occasion but I may be wrong about that.
It is important to educate ourselves about things financial.

Kennedy went against the grain & off the reservation after a while... & his Brother wouldn't play nice either.

THE FIVE STAGES OF GRIEF


1. Denial, Denial is pretending the problem doesn't exist or cannot be seen. Many are currently doing that, ignoring how bad the financial situation really is.


2. Anger, Anger has been expressed over and over by both people who are still in stage one, as well as people in stage


3. Bargaining, People on both sides of the isle are trying to bargain their way out of the inevitable truth. There is no money to borrow to fix this. It's going to take sweat blood and tears.

4. Depression, Often this stage and the next are rolled together. It's questions like Joe's that get asked when you realize bargaining is no longer useful and the depression of the truth sinks in.


5. Acceptance, You realize this is going to hurt, there is nothing that can be done, but it's better to take your licks now than let it grow and hurt more later.
