DO NOT PUT ACETONE IN ANY NEWER VEHICLE....It will ruin the fuel delivery system...ie fuel pump, o-rings and seals...
I know of several guys that bought into this back during the last high priced gas debacle....several hundred dollars later they got their cars and trucks into running shape again
I know everyone is looking for a way to save $'s on fuel right now, but sorry OP this in not the way....good luck

Read the article all the way and you'll see that tests were done soaking every part that would be in contact with the fuel in the gasoline/acetone mix with no effect to the parts. So maybe your friends were not using it properly, or you're just helping spread dis-info.Then hit it bigin' ....it's your car and your money...spend it on what you want to... here is a more novel approach...cut back on your driving... take your shopping list to work and stop on the way home, don't make a "Special" trip just to pickup something carpool...have a guy/gal at work who lives close by you drive one day, they the next there are lots of ways to save on fuel, if you really want to...use your brains and think up some that will work for you....as I said "Good Luck"
