If police are unable to do their jobs without torturing people to gain compliance, they shouldn't be on the police force. My 'suggestion' is to either rush him with several cops at once and subdue him that way, or walk off and LEAVE HIM ALONE. I often wonder why police never see that as an option. It is not their job to brawl with people on the street, if i were a single cop trying to arrest a guy like that, i'd do the smart thing ans say fuck it. Call it common sense.

So if you had a guy who you had developed PC for arrest that he had raped someone's teenage daughter, but he looked like a tough arrest you would say fuck it? Wow, what a surprise.

Sounds to me like you are a coward.

It's not a matter of people not being able to do their jobs without torturing, it's about the most effective and least permanent damage occuring while taking into custody those who don't want to be.

That's common sense, not turning your back and walking away like a coward.

Horseshit, you're really good at dancing around the issue avoiding it directly. Police are not using these weapons as self defense and that is their only legal application, they're using them on kids , grandmothers, people in wheel chairs, and anyone else who has the 'audacity' to stand up to them

You are misinformed. Tasers are not and have never been applied as a self defense tool. They are an offensive tool used to gain compliance, period. That has always been the implementation whether advertised as such or not.

This isn't the movies you "Rage against the machine" clown. Police Officers mean business and their lives depend on it as well as your own. If it means the difference between violating your constitutional rights (which I don't believe it does) and the officer going home in the morning without being broken and battered, then guess what he will choose. Not to mention that it will most likely be you that is broken and bruised if he doesn't use the Taser.
