Anonymous Coward User ID: 1004920 United States 04/24/2011 03:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If you're near a tv this afternoon (4-6 p.m. Central), you'll want to watch for a small breaking news story. It will be economic in nature, and will be presented as an 'unconfirmed rumor'. The story will take hold by tommorrow morning, and we're going to see the most volatile day in the markets in several months. I'll post an update later today when the news hits. And no, there is nothing any of us can do about it now. In the meantime, you'll want to enjoy your Easter (if you're so inclined). Best wishes. Quoting: Not In Jest 1347486and especially cause this thread is all 5 stars. |

Sword0fGideon User ID: 1355491 United States 04/24/2011 05:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Came to the station, so posting from here. Again, I'm not saying anything more of substance until later today. But, being pretty new to this site, I was curious enough to check to see if there was any reaction. Guilty pleasure, I guess. Anyhow, looks like some doubters, and that's what I would expect. I would be sceptical, too. And yes, market news typically does break on Sunday evenings. However, this is much larger. We've got it on our desk now, but by network agreement, we can't release it until the larger affiliates do so first. And, I've been told to expect that this afternoon. You'll get it some of it then, and tommorrow it will be all over the news. I read those other threads that were posted, and they have a great deal of it right, but again, it will be this evening. Quoting: Not in Jest 1023979i "heard" we already surpassed our debt ceiling. and the markets tomorrow should be volatile for sure, what have you got? Christians have had to face and realize their own sins, and feel compelled to try and help others as well. This chant of Holier than thou is wrong and is taught by others making you think what is cool or acceptable to them. The thought of "believe as i do" is strongly in an unbelievers life, because they feel they will be ridiculed by their friends. Every falsehood a unbeliver weilds, is merely a reflection of the obstacles that unbeliever must face from his very own peers. Unbelievers are the true followers, they are dedicated to fear of what other people think of them. And because of this, they are ashamed of themselves, but wall themselves up to feel comfortable and safe, assuring themselves with rationality and laughter. Which is insanity! oxxxxx§:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+> |

Not In Jest (OP) User ID: 1347486 United States 04/24/2011 08:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Back from work. Don't know if anyone is still following this thread, but I said I would be back to update. Suppose everyone, or at least those who follow the news, may realize by now is that Khadafi is going to be taken out tonight, and I'm not talking about to dinner. By tommorrow morning, he will be dead, and the fury in the Middle East will once again spike. Also spiking will be the price of crude. Now, this is monumental not only because a head of state is getting assasinated, but because of the timing, and the subsequent repercussions. From here, I imagine you can see how things are lining up. A Chinese finance official stating publicly that his country needed to reduce their holdings of U.S. Treasuries by two-thirds is directly linked to prior notification of intent, and the subsequent visit by Sen. Reid and his delegation. China has energy ties with Iran, and further unrest in the Middle East is a obvious threat to these agreements. Now, what does Iran have to do with Libya? Stuxnet. The other part of this story (to be revealed in the larger press within a few days) is that Iran is fast-tracking the startup of the Bushear nuclear plant. Was supposed to be around May 5th, but with tonight's action, you can expect them to give it a go within the next 48-72 hours. Well, that's not going to work because the Stuxnet malware has not, rather cannot, be completely scrubbed out. The plant may very well explode, and this will serve as a catalyst for Iranian civil unrest/panic. See what is happening here? When Iran's plant goes haywire, it is hoped that Iran's populace will follow the path of Egypt, Bahrain, Libya, etc. All of this is predicated on tonight's assasination, so don't look for it to fail. Serious stuff, I know, but that's all I've got, and as I said in my original post, expect the markets to dive over the next few days. Will China rush its sell-off of Treasuries? Who can say, but as the saying goes, all's fair in love and war. Stay safe. |
