I am happy to see this post. This radiation is the last straw for me. I don't have the money, but, have the determination, and, with 4 young children have figured out a way to be leaving this summer to Ecuador.

Exactly as the poster before me said, if you have the motivation you can get there. I knew I learned to speak
Spanish fluently with ease for a reason. I know how to garden and plants grow beautifully in Ecuador. I can sell it all and start anew.

It is hard for me. I have a pretty good life here. But, if I sell the Escalade and the other 'toys', we can buy a simple house in the mountains and start over with nothing.

I am going alone with 4 children, so there may be challenges, but, we are a close family and God will see us through.

Is anyone else going to Ecuador? I would love to know there were other people nearby that shared my feelings.

There are some reactors in south america, but not nearly like the US. ( Brazil only has about 4 or 5.) Perhaps there is still a chance to eliminate nuclear power all together in the southern hemisphere.
..I agree all the government/countries of the world are corrupt, but not all of them are IRRADIATED. So unless you wish to be irradiated your ONLY option is head to southern hemisphere asap…
