We don't like to hear the word judgment because human judgment is so imperfect. God's judgment is both necessary and cleansing, as He sets things back on course from the brokenness and rebellion that presently exists.

Yea, and plus it means that we all really have to do an honest and complete self evaluation to make sure that our lives are in line with His will.

Not an easy thing to do!!! I'm still making changes, and some of them are really hard!!!! This isn't a leisure cruise.....

It's dang hard, takes alot of work, dedication, willingness to give up the sin in your life that you might really enjoy.

Honest, painful self evaluation. Better to do it yourself now while you have the time to clean it up before He comes and everything is exposed before Him and there will be no excuses.

I'll tell you guys, tv was a big thing for me, a big part of my life. I would really look forward to my favorite shows.

I liked shows like Cops, Bait Car, Judge Judy, the Real Housewives was my all time favorite.....never missed one of the Real Housewives shows......

But, when you watch all these shows, you're being entertained by someone elses sin. Really, think about it. I never thought about it till about 6 months ago. I mentioned it to a few friends of mine and they looked at me like I had 2 heads or something.

We really must be careful what we allow ourselves to be entertained by, wholesome shows that do not glorify things that are sinful. This goes for music choices as well.

This is a phrase from Bahkti Yoga, but it applies here, too:

"You become like that to which/whom you are devoted."

Choose wisely.

We do not have to be perfect, we do not have to be sin free, we do not have to be free of spot and blemish. If those were the requirements, we'd all be in serious trouble.

But, we have to try, we have to give it 150% effort. We can't just say "oh well, it's ok if I steal this money because I'm a christian and Jesus will forgive me".

NO! That's not how it works! Being a Christian is not a green light to sin and then plan on asking forgiveness later.

You must turn away from sin, go and sin no more, but when you honestly screw up.......and ask forgiveness, He will forgive you.

when will you stand for the real United States? Our government is evil and has slaughtered many of god's children in other lands.

Yes, and tv is getting darker and darker with every
passing year. Such a fixation of gore, blood and death. It is really terrible!

I love the parable of the Talents, one of my favorites because it shows that not all are the same, but if you try your best, He will reward you accordingly.



“Therefore stay alert, because you do not know the day or the hour. For it is like a man going on a journey, who summoned his slaves and entrusted his property to them. To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey.

The one who had received five talents went off right away and put his money to work and gained five more. In the same way, the one who had two gained two more. But the one who had received one talent went out and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money in it.

LOL---i mentioned that we wouldn't even open the door to women dressed like the MAJORITY of them do on these sitcoms, soaps etc and my friends thought i was crazy--and never mind HOW the kids on these shows know everything,parents are useless on and on--
WHY LET this garbage literally pollute the atmosphere of your home and family's mentality ?

Well, about 6 months ago, I tossed all of the questionable programs that I was watching. I stick with animal planet, the news, national geographic, discovery and history channel, and those channels are pretty save. Still some filth on those channels too, just have to be careful.

But if you can give up tv completely, that's probably the best way to go. But, I enjoy alot of the religous programming too and I would miss that alot. The news too.

some of those channels like history channel and Discovery carry the lies of the beast. Just discriminate. Ditto the Religious programming.

I like news and a little sports. Mostly news though!
