Some states require you to run away from the robber/invader even in your own home.....self defense only if you can get away and you life is in imminent danger....

One of the cars was pulled over less than 5 miles from my house...the guys that were shot got away but didn`t make it far..One was shot in the face and is in critical condition..They are keeping things pretty quiet right now..Most the people they interviewed on the local news said they would have done the same thing...so the homeowner has the backing of the public around here..

They can write stupid stipulations to use of deadly force but we all know when this goes to trial, the jury will be sympathetic to the homeowner and will never convict him. There were 4 robbers in his rural home at 2am. To say he feared for his life would be easy to understand. And a bad guy does not have to be facing you to pose a threat. If crime has been rising, finding the homeowner guilty will simply green0light a crime spree in that area. The jury may be ignorant but they certainly will want to send a message to the other criminals that they need to shop in the inner city where crime is protected.

Give the guy a medal for defending his home

the intruders were prob.. young teens.or and didnt have a weapon.you cant just shoot someone if you catch them in your house if theres no threat of violance on you.
it would be murder.the only time you should resort to violance if your life is threatened or revange (if someone did something bad to you.you cant hang a man for breaking in your house.

I for one am thankful we live in a country where we have a right to a jury trial. To have your fellow citizens and neighbors that understand the circumstances in a community judging you, not some bureaucrat or corrupt Judge. I have always said I'd rather be judged by 12 not carried by 6.

Not true, here in Lubbock, there was an extremely drunk college kid that went into somebody's house "thinking it was his house", and the homeowner shot and killed him when he entered. He was unarmed, but extremely drunk. The homeowner had no trouble whatsoever.

Depends on where you live.If you live in a castle doctrine state you can shoot any intruder in your home period.Look it up.There are 14 states with castle doctrine laws.Happily I live in one.

Our last Governor in Ohio passed a law allowing homeowners to shoot intruders that are unannounced and believed to threaten safety of homeowner. Law also applies to cars, if you were to be carjacked you can shoot dead carjacker, as long as you have CCW permit.

If you shoot an invader outside the home first thing first drag their asses back inside before the police are called period.

You can't invite them in and then shoot them, you have to at least bust a window and make sure there's a knife in their hand...

Did he call the cops? They cant be everywhere at once.. you want a cop on your front door every hour of the day? You need to pick the phone up and call.. He also was prob arrested because he was stupid and said-- I wasnt scared for my life or my familys.. that is the key words.. So yeah they are going to take him into cusudy..

No matter what a law, judge or prosecutor says or instructs...jurors can ignore it all and decide whatever they feel is appropriate.

Somebody tried to break in my guest house not long ago, and when I had the cops out there I told them that my oldest son stays there a lot and I gave him a 12 GA loaded with 00 buck...I said if they break in while he's there I'll be calling the coroner instead of the police. They laughed and said that would really help them out a lot...LOL

If it is the middle of the night you must assume that they KNOW you are there and that YOU are part of their plan.
Once they step foot into your home, SORRY, but they made the first bad move.

Once you Enter someone elses home WITH INTENT to steal/rape/Murder etc, You should Lose ANY Rights

If I (Or Hubby) Caught Anyone in our house, the first thought would be to Protect Our Kids and Each other, With Whatever Means.

In the UK we (On average) Do not have Guns.. BUT there are Plenty of other Methods of Defence.. Ooops Meant SELF Defence..

Our Kids are PRIORITY ONE Everything else comes Second
