I was about to say that in the Westerns, the Sheriff got a posse of deputies together and they kicked botty, so why aren't they doing that there.

In my area its not just that the police are understaffed its that they go no where alone,they only respond in groups,got a couple down the road that fight all the time cops come in three cars,never one even though it seems its never more than a couple fighting,even the cops are scared and Michigan is swamped with illeagles ,they know its safe here we got no where to put them if arrested and no money to get rid of them,one house on my block has about 30 single mexican men living in it.

I remeber driving through Flint on my annual drives from Chicago to Toronto and 20 years ago it wasn't a bad town at all. it was a decent and friendly place to gas up, stretch, anmaher breakfast at the Big Boy. It has progressively got worst and I remember last year thinking that this doesn't even look like America anymore

Not sure what you do for a living, so work might prevent it, but if possible, you should head about 2 hours north. I have been up here for just about a year now and I love it here. I work for a software company and work from home or anywhere with internet so I am set for work. There are some job opportunities here, maybe even better then in the Flint area. I grew up near that area (Byron) and I have been to Flint enough for me. The sad part is, just a little outside of Flint, the area is rural and very nice.

Head north! It's beautiful up here, and in a DOOM situation, I am safer being away from lots of people.

As I stated earlier, they don't need police officers. Police officers now-a-days exist to destroy liberty. There needs to be a culling of the herd in Flint, then their 6 police officers would be more than adequate to police the less colorful population.

btw, OP, I grew up in Midland, moved to Bay City, stayed with relatives in Saginaw, lived in Detroit during the '60s, married and moved to Lansing, and have passed through Flint many, many times. I left Michigan in 1980 and never looked back. However, I miss the U.P. and the Porcupine Mountains and black bears and the GREEN of Michigan. My parents and some siblings still live in that area, but they're safe and sound way out in the countryside. Their biggest concern is corn blight. Thank goodness.
