android phone app that defies explanation...totally creepy!!!

Let me guess.... You work for them. Their webpage isn't even functional. Hmmm....

I swear I don't work for them...I just found the app in the Android market...on my phone and it is unreal...I wish someone could figure out how it works...honestly

A friend and I just tried it. It is pretty creepy. We both tried different numbers, kept them to ourselves and did the simple math problem. each time, the app knew the number, in symbol form which was weird. Very cool mind boggling free app indeed.

Downloaded it - thought it was cool at the beginning, then noticed some numbers had duplicate characters.

yeah, but you never type in the numbers.

It assigns a character to a number.
Some numbers have the same characters as others.

If a number is unique, so should its character.

This isn't hard to do.

It has nothing to do with the math problem and there's not enough duplicate symbols for it to be that accurate...although...I think it may have something to do with looking at the numbers...maybe it can read your eyes or something...not sure

ull see that every equation adds up to a multiple of 9.
9,18,27,36,45,54,63,72,81. Those numbers all have the same symbol, and those numbers are the only ones that can be generated with the applications terms

11 - 2 - 9
20 - 2 - 18
30 - 3 - 27
40 - 4 - 36
50 - 5 - 45

and so on... none the less is it pretty good

It turns out that for all the possible numbers you can choose,
there are not all that many possible results to the calculation you are asked to do on the number you choose.

You can see that despite the fact that you get to choose from
numbers 10 to 99, really, there are only 9 possible numbers to
be put on your mind. So while there are lots of symbols provided, you only have to worry about 9 of them: 9 18 27 36 45 54 63 72 81

And if you look close, you'll find that despite the fact that the symbols are randomized, there is a peculiar consistency in the Mind Reader: multiples of 9 always share the same symbol.
Refresh the page and you'll see a new symbol, but 9 and 45 and
81 (and the rest of them) will always share that new symbol.

Why do you have to add and subtract?

It should come up the symbol you choose. But it doesnt.

Certain numbers only come up with certain symbols because of the way the algorithm is set up.

You guys were right...I went and checked it out...any number you come up with shares the same symbol...whoever thought that one up was pretty clever!!
