what's an even more interesting theory is that the brain sends the signal somehow backwards in time so that the instantaneous time you see yourself touching your toe, the brain has sent the info back in time, because it takes time for the impulse from your toe to reach your brain, so that the two senses appear to coincide at the same time.

i'm not making one judgment over the other in terms validity of theory as to its explanation. i'm just offering the various theories. what is the conventional theory that you speak of anyway btw? the one about the buffer? just curious what you think.
