Quoting: SPARTACUS 23That's our difference. I love the storms and have been in them since I could crawl into the yard. The barometric pressure itself is fantastic and causes everyone to slow down and watch what is happening. Which could be a reason why so many people aren't afraid enough, unlike yourself. We've grown accustomed to the weather because it happens all the time. Finding bodies in the trees, having your child snatched from your hands...it makes people weak, and religious, when it should make them smarter to build shelters. Yes, good idea. There should be more shelters built and all homes requiring a solid foundation and basement Im going to have PTSD for life now. When youve seen it and you were there, you never forget it, It is terrifying. I had no where to go when I saw it coming.. only choice is drive off and maybe go to the mall. Where I was at had no basement and not made for tornados. My car got all bent from hail damage though, others had windows shattered, Then in the neighboring town, 200 newer homes in a nice middle class neighborhood gone. It ripped off roofs. The survivors lived when they went to their basements. |

Facing a tornado is similar to all the combined directions of your thoughts over YEARS collapsed into a short moment. Like life sped up 1000x, or just at the edge of an event horizon of possible futures. Try speeding up your memories of the event to match the pace OF the event, might help. |

OMG, the morning of the tornado, I remember the skies were clear and blue.. I was typing on my computer, telling my friend all my life frustrations, I was getting angrier and angrier and looked outside my window, I was noticing the clouds were taking on my emotions, As my anger rose, the clouds started turning black, when I complained the air began to get charged and I saw bolts of blue and red flash thru the sky, I told my friend whose also a shaman, about the weather brewing outside in sync with my emotions, She told me to calm down I went outside instead and started cussing at the storm cloud, It started coming towards me. My local towns sirens went off and the emergency radio said a tornado was forming I then prayed and apologized, and it made a sudden change of direction. I still got the outer edge of it where it hailed, but it was a huge tornado that made all the National news. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 359897Was that big piece of debris they zoomed in on a house?! "What you have just said, is the most insanely idiotic thing I have ever heard. At no point, in your rambling incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul." |

The devastation caused was massive, church steeples laying in the street thrown blocks from the church they were ripped off of, and this storm had winds more than twice as strong. What, me worry? |

I don't get it. If you don't have a basement, why not dig a cellar so you can be below ground. Tornadoes are scary, but relatively easy to survive if you can get underground. If I was going to live in the midwest, the first thing I would do is bury a cement culvert for a shelter. Second thing I would do is make some sort of underground area for my animals. You can buy this stuff for $50 to $500. |

I believe we are not going to see a god-person, but realize a god energy which is not of this earthly planet. Beingness is of energy and not confined to one material existence. Living in the spiritual realm within the same energy as religion means accepting all forms of god-like we may encounter. Loving those who pass from these storms is not exclusive of understanding the basic economies of greed. To me when we die, it is not to be grieving for god which enables us to clearly love that energy which evolved from their human existence, but heralds their moving into a greater realm which we cannot control. |

I cried a little after reading your statement, To lose a loved one, What is human love? You grow attached to their certain smile and specific face and personality, Then you have to let them go. Like you said, to a greater realm. Are we selfish getting so attached to them like we remember them? Do some loved ones become a different creation, a different sex and a different body in another time ? or place? Is it vanity to grow so emotionally attached to the feelings we call. "love" ? How do you explain to someone thats lost a loved one? In Mythic Astrology, the line of Jupiter will appear over a scene of devastation, In the Rosicrucian Cosmo conception it is Jupiter that will carry a good person over. and Jupiter is usually the sign of luck This comforted me, nature sees death as a promotion. and a good sign, we see it from our perspective as the worst. |
