I feel for you. I got real interested in how on earth folks were going to help themselves when the shtf and put a few principles to work.

Turned 25 2" tomatoes into 75 rooted plants.

But I'm an interior horticulturist by profession.

The weather playing games with our means of survival is no accident, my friends. The soil will also be polluted by the whole Fuk-u-Shima fiasco.

Re: So much for a Garden this year!!!!!!!!! Im PISSED at this weather
Yep. That fact never struck me until recently. Been installing and taking care of plants in offices and atriums for nearly 30 years.

That business went to hell, as you can imagine, in this economy.

So I became a certified master gardener and learned how to grow food, and put a twist on it.

Some folks have gotten damn good at growing plants indoors... if you know what I mean! So I took some of those tried and true concepts and applied it to food.

When you supply a plant with its nutrients it does not have to grow a humongous root system.

But first we devised an excellent raised bed system. That works great, too.
