Giant German Shepherds? WOW

I had one - a German Shepherd/wolf hybrid. Went to shelter & asked for next dog being put down and they brought him out. He was all black, 150 lbs and very scary looking while at the same time very beautiful. I thought they'd be bringing out a small lab mix which are so common in the shelters. But if I hadn't have taken him he would have been put down. And so glad I did.

His family had turned him in because he cost too much to feed at 10 mos. old! The shelter told me he was half wolf according to his previous family but didn't necessarily believe them because many people brag about such things. But vet confirmed it.

He was the best dog I ever had in every way imaginable! He was loving & protective with family (inc. the cats), very gentle with kids, but definitely a fierce animal when needed to be. He was very intelligent and knew when to be fierce which wasn't too often.

I had previously had German Shepherds and he had many traits of such only they were magnified.

The only problem I ever had with him is that he was very destructive at first. He destroyed the garden & would even chew small trees down and the first time I left him in the house alone he made a big hole in the sheet rock. I had left him in house so he wouldn't destroy the cross-fenced yard around the house. He didn't like the feeling of being trapped. So we put in doggy doors, left the gate open to the small yard so he could get out to the rest of the property and let him roam our fenced 5 acres when we were gone. He was fine after that.

These are not German shepherds they are Alsatians.
Anything other than the standard breed of German Shepherds as defined by the Germans themselves is not a German Shepherd they are Alsatians they are not thorough bred but different inbreeds.

i know 1 thing that german shepherds are very smart dogs..easy to train esp. to protect...

poodles are slightly smarter,,,,not the small poodles,,,the big ones...that is why circuses use them

It seems idiotic to me to breed them larger, The breed suffers from hip dysplasia. Poor dogs always end up crippled. If you want the perfect breed of dog you want one that is all kinds. Mutts are the best.

China breeds dogs larger and continually looks for ways to grow them bigger because they eat them. Their favorite dog to eat is St. Bernard. Can you believe that? A dog we revere for its life-saving skills and loyalty to humans they EAT. And the way they torture them before killing them....makes me sick to think of it. They are insensitive and CRUEL.

When I was in Vietnam 6 years ago, I saw LOTS of German Shepherds being sold as food. Absolutely heartbreaking.

Actually, hip dysplasia is purely genetic. Nutrition can only play a part in it to help with the governing of pain that the dog has due to the deterioration of the bone.

Looks photoshopped to me. The angle of the wall between the mans legs doesnt look like it meets the far left wall at a 90* angle. Unless dude lives in a room with two acute and to obtuse corners.

Definitey not photoshopped, the old world lines are bred to be healthier as well as larger.
