How to eat Spirulina powder?

Buy the tablets, forget the powder...but if you insist on poweder, try adding it to some juice. If you let it sit for a minute, it'll be less grainy when you consume.

I havent tried that yet. I thought about the tablets but have a 2 yr old that couldnt eat it that way.

Yeah, use the tablets or it tastes like you're eating shit.

I mix it in with water for a while, and then drink with a straw....

I tried it in a drink but maybe didnt let it sit long enough or stir long enough..will try with juice maybe

sprinkle it on salads, use a hand blender to mix in with juice.

You have to get a cup with a tight fitting lid. Put a teaspoon in with about a 1/4 cup of juice and shake the shit out of it. (Stirring it with a spoon doesn't mix it enough.) Drink it in one or two gulps and you're done.

It's not that bad...just have some water handy to wash it down with.

I buy the stuff in 5 lb cans then capsule it. Cant eat it unless you like moss and pond scum. But it is very nutritious.

I have an un-used container of the powder also! Let's just say I have kept it, but if I catch sight of it, a natural gag reflex happens.

In a store nearby, they sell huge old bags of Powdered Squid; I imagine the flavor is similar to spirulina.

There are capsule machines and capsules available. I use those instead of the tablets for better absorbtion.

Tablets or capsules. The powder is a mess. My wife puts it in Miso soup, but that just looks gross and disgusting. The taste is not something I would go for in my personal food supply.

Yeah, it seems to me that the clear juices seem to work better at making it smooth. Apple, grape, etc....I have a juicer, and the raw juices seem to make it coagulate....but the (store bought) 100% apple juice, turns it into a smooth concoction.

Also if you want to encapsulate yourself wo/filling machine: Take zip lock bag, fill it with powder, and snip off a very small piece of the corner of the bag. Over a large bowl, take your gel capsules and fill them. It helps to have a second person help you...while you fill, they cap.

You can also use the scooping method, where you just place powder in bowl and scoop and cap...and when your done, just put the extra powder back in container, and wait until next month.

Honestly, it can save you money...but it is a serious pain in the ass. ha!

I mix a couple tablespoons of Spirulina, a tablespoon of Chlorella, a heaping tablespoon of chia seed powder, a scoop of high quality chocolate flavored whey protein powder, and a scoop of greens first in 16 oz of cold almond milk and shake it for a couple minutes.

It goes down VERY easily. It's delicious actually. And everything in it is super good for you.

For kids,............you can buy the drink "Naked" in food stores. It is green in color but mixed with all sorts of other nice things. Kids can handle the taste.

you can get used to the taste if you try. try a tsp in a pint of water. stir for aprox 120 seconds. tabs are ok, homade gells are cheaper. But if you want to eat 5-10 grams a day, it adds up to alot of time making pills. alot. but loose lbs of spirulina powder are 16 bones from my supplier and tabs are 4 times more expensive. Id rather just have more powder in my diet for less money and suck it up on drinking it. its just not that bad if you can convince yourself out of your revulsion. And the benefits are real.
