Kate's (Catherine's) probably royal roots - King Edward I and King Henry VIII
I'm sure this thread will be bashed, but oh well!! For anyone who is interested I put together a little info I found. Not proof, just a good indication.

Not sure if anyone is interested but I just found more on Kate's royal roots. Not proven yet... I find it interesting.
It appears she is descended not only from Henry VIII but on another line, King Edward I.

The info at the bottom is just a little bit about the Boleyn's royal ancestry. It appears Kate is a descendant of Mary Boleyn and Henry VII. Some people said Ann Boleyn was a "nobody" which is pretty snobby considering her father was Thomas Howard, 2nd Duke of Norfolk a direct descendant of a King. Lady Diana and Kate have some common ancestry too. - Planetbarb

Kate’s semi royal roots

How Kate Middleton may be descended from Henry VIII.

Excerpts:

We know that Kate Middleton is directly descended from an Elizabethan though, Sir Thomas Leighton, and his wife, Elizabeth Knollys. Sir Thomas and his wife were also ancestors of Prince William’s mother, Lady Diana Spencer. But what no one has pointed out is that Elizabeth Knollys, Kate Middleton’s direct ancestor, was not only the great niece of Henry VIII’s second wife, Anne Boleyn, but also almost certainly the illegitimate granddaughter of Henry himself. Before he fell in love with Anne, Henry VIII had a four-year affair with her older sister, Mary, mentioned by contemporary sources including the ambassador of the Holy Roman Empire. During the affair Mary Boleyn bore two children, Catherine (Kate Middleton’s ancestor) in 1524 and Henry in 1526.

Planetbarb Notes: Kate's probable ancestor, Mary Boleyn mistress of Henry VIII

Note: This image is of Mary's daughter, ELIZABETH KNOLLYS.

1524

if every kid that that bird in 1524 had had two kids, and so on and so on, she'd be the ancestor of around 33554432 people now

pretty good odds she's related then, i'd say.

pretty good odds I AM for that fucking matter.

Re: Kate's (Catherine's) probably royal roots - King Edward I and King Henry VIII
Amazing! I always thought Kate, excuse me, Her Royal Higness, Princess William of Wales, Duchess of Cambridge, has an eery resemblance to Anne Boleyn: [link to en.wikipedia.org] ; especially this picture: [link to upload.wikimedia.org]

When you think about it the Middletons sound a lot like the Boleyns: a social-climbing gentry family, that tries aggressively to enter aristocracy by marrying one of their daughters to the king.

Think about it, the two families have produced the same number of children, that is two daughters: one married to the king = Anne Boleyn = Kate Middleton, and the other to a noble friend of the king = Mary Boleyn = Pippa Middleton, and a son pulling the strings and using his sisters for political and financial gain (George Boleyn = James Middleton).

Let's hope the Middletons don't meet the same tragic fate as the Boleyns: Father, Son and 1st daughter put to death by the King...

Hello all I see here is love and concern, perhaps a litle fear for his daughter.
Photo link: [link to a57.foxnews.com]

I think it's interesting U see a resemblance ...
To be real I felt it was interesting from the standpoint of an actual resemblance and a genetic ancestry from the Boleyns.

Just basing this on The Tudors (or title like that) recent story of Henry and Ann) - based on that I feel Ann's father was a real schmuck. Lower than that. What came through to me also was Ann herself was potentially a really great Queen not just some wannabe. I feel she deeply loved Henry and got the rottonest of rotton breaks.
That's just my partisan viewpoint.

As far as the Middletons being like the Boleyn father I think NOT.
Her father seems to me the ultimate loving and caring father.
