Around the earth: ET's and us. Around the sun ET's only.
There are about 300 different 'races' of ET's that live inside the sun.
Quoting: johnlearAside from the obvious fact of it being a radically inhospitable environment, let's extrapolate.
With a conservative estimate of 200 billion stars in
our own Milky Way galaxy alone, and given that our Sun
is a fairly unremarkable main sequence star, and if we
posit 300 races living in each star, for sake of argument,
and acknowledging in advance a wide range of conditions
inside them...
...this implies 60 trillion races in our galaxy alone.
Further, it's estimated that there are 150-200 billion
galaxies in our observable universe, so perhaps ~1e25
races, and that would be just those living inside stars,
let alone those in or about the vastly larger number
of planets.
