My fathers “LearFan” has the title of the single most expensive loss in the history of general aviation. The Beech Starship would have held the record but they actually got it certificated and sold a couple.

One of the 3 LearFan test articles ended up in its most useful application which was an ice cream stand. Allegedly the Lear family bought the ice cream stand and donated it the Museum of Flight, in Seattle Washington.

It is now on display and hangs near an SR-71. The unintentional irony is the fastest, highest flying reconnaissance jet airplane in the world was developed for a total cost of $34 million is right next to the single most expensive failure in the history of aviation having spent almost half of a billion dollars and never obtained certification.

The list of LearFan investors included the Lear Family $8 million, Oppenheimer Investments $30 million, The British Government $125 million and a pool of Saudi investors including Salim bin Laden (Osamas half-brother) and Prince Sultan (not the Defense Minister but his nephew) for an alleged $200 million.

Would you have flown the Spruce Goose given the opportunity? I have only soloed a Cessna 150 which was scary enough but the thought of getting up to takeoff speed on the water in a wooden airplane with that many engines would terrify me!

As far as I know only Lou Baldin ever met Milton. John, as most of us, have different guides whom we have never consciously met.

I was out sailing one day in the Saanich Inlet, just north of Victoria BC and the Goose touched down within a couple hundred yards of us to pick up a load of water.

Quite the amazing sight. The roar was deafening and I was ASTOUNDED at the rate of climb that thing had with a full load.

Thanks for the input - it is kind of what I was figuring but thought I would ask. I read him on Sleeper's site talking back and forth with Sleeper as though they both knew Milton. All of it is fascinating and hopeful that we could actually get parolled someday and have some real fun.

1, how far up in the navy chain do you have to be before things get juicy? I have family in the navy, training officers and chiefs. I try to get what I can but you know how how it is. Just curious if they'd be the wiser to spawar and the like.

No. I got to sit in the YF-12A at Edwards Air Force Base. I was with a former Lockheed Test Pilot. I was never in the air force.





Gunther Russbacher flew it (SR-71) back from French Air Force Base Reims. Russbacher was flown to Paris (he sat in the back) of the BAC-111 that flew him over.

There were 2 airplanes used going over. Heinrich Rupp flew the Gulfsteam and I don't remember who flew the B-737.

There is a video tape (always running when somebody occupies the back seat (which is most always) which shows George Bush (the father not the kid) on the trip back from Reims. I wonder were that tape is now! Probably buried under all those mainframes a Ft. Meade.

This is about when we all realised Bill was telling lies about his navy career and document sightings.

He started hitting the bottle, changing his testimony and engaged in outrageous plagiarism of other people's work.

This is about the time he started leaving drunken death threats on the answering machines of conference organisers and magazine publishers. (Don Ecker for one)

Bill realised the jig was up and his lies were catching up to him. His only recourse was to use the few remaining conference gigs and radio spots to accuse ANYONE he didn't like of being a CIA agent.

After selling us his personal testimony on UFOs, he did a 180 and claimed UFOs didn't exist and were nothing more than part of a huge govt conspiracy towards a NWO. In other words, his conspiracy UFO followers had realised his lies, and so he turned to the next most gullible 'market' - ie conspiracy aware christians.

He is a hero to many because he put the Protocols of Zion into his book, but to those who had long-time dealings with him, it became evident he was a fraud from the beginning.

I'm sure he was nice to stars like John here, who he needed to bolster his own credibility. But to others he was nothing more than a liar and a fraud, who beat up his wife when he got drunk. He was never suppressed by the govt - he was dismissed by his own crowd for making death threats from the stage, from being drunk on stage and on radio, and for lying to publishers about his past.

The ends do NOT justify the means, and this guy was NO hero!

William Cooper was a brilliant researcher and his radio program Hour Of The Time delved into some very serious and deep subjects. And he cites John Lear in regards to an alternative version of the Zapruder film at 39:30 in the video-not aliens.

As far as Cooper's beliefs toward the alien agenda, so what if he had changed his mind? That is the whole point of research, to align your perceptions with reality. And what is more interesting to point out, is that Cooper never started receiving serious government opposition until he started mention Blue Beam and the NWO agenda.

Obviously you are still threatened by Cooper and I find that ridiculous and hilarious at the same time.
