But the blame is of the Catholic Church to create a formula, which Jesus never told to establish.

actually a 29 mile area is no way near the level of the australian floods.. in dec/jan 2011 the areas of australia that were underwater due to the flooding was approximately equal to the state of texas in the usa. All 3 of our eastern states, Queensland, NSW and Victoria were all effected at the same time, queensland being the worst hit having 3/4 of our state effected by flood waters.

As bad as its about to get over there I dont think the entire state is going to be underwater..

The Atchafalaya and Mississippi have been wanting to change for years and man has been stopping it. When I lived in Gonzales La. they had to take a whole little town in and make it part of the levee system for the Ms. river so it would not break and flood further down toward N.O. The people in this little town were older, black mostly so to the politicians had no voice. But these were people who had lived their lives there and had land/homes there. They were quietly moved for there were no protests for a small country town. It has always been said that these two rivers will flow into one no matter who tries to stop it. I can't remember what indian folklore it was but I do remember hearing it all my life from down there.

This is what happins when you build homes and things below the river,
this is what happins when you dam the sides of a river so every body can live there.

mother nature will allways win in the end,
and water will go where it wants.


Thing is, this levee there wanting to blow, is this not a flood plain anyways.

I live about halfway between Lafayette and New Iberia, Louisiana. Situation here is calm for the moment. Interstate 10 runs east to west from Houston to New Orleans. To get a rough idea of the westernmost area of this prediction would put you halfway between Houston and New Orleans.

Flood warnings have been posted for the immediate river parishes including our maximum security state prison in Angola and the areas around Baton Rouge.

The Atchafalaya river and the basin is a huge watershed with a twin span bridge on I-10 running roughly eighteen miles across between Lafayette and Baton Rouge. The water tables are low in the area for now but as more water poors in it fills up but fast.

Those of us that live south of I-10 deal with high water levels during hurricanes so this threat appears to be of a similar nature. I-10 acts as a levy for the northern part of the city of Lafayette.
