...it could of been that one. id have to look into it again. Quoting: IAM LEGION The only "map" I could find of it was more of a drawing, so I'm kind of guessing where it is. It's kind of between Plainview and Tulia. Quoting: Texan Buckeye naw the one i read about was closer to here pumpkin capital. i know down in snyder they were getting quakes daily.. Quoting: IAM LEGION Did you see the Avalanche-Journal's series a few months ago about fracking? I think they decided Snyder's eq's were because of fracking. Idk, sometimes I think they use it as an excuse. I saw a map once with all kinds of very small fault lines on the cap, but I've never been able to find it again. Quoting: Texan Buckeye Fracking in our area is pretty shallow in depth, because most oil and gas wells up here are less than 4000 feet in depth. However, fracking, or salt-water flooding can lubricate minor faults in areas of bedrock allowing them to slip. Still these quakes aren't usually big...2.5 or less... We don't really use "Fracking" in terms of "Fracturing Shale Formations" up here...these are oil sands, very porous in nature, so water flooding is the more popular option up here, although they will sometimes use "detergents" in that flooding process... Water flooding may actually be worse than hydro-fracking...because they pump a lot more into these loose formations...
