Everything really does happen for a reason
Alright so today, woke up early, went to the DSS to inquire about food stamps. Waited in the waiting room. Missed my number. Went over and told them I missed the number, and they said, "you're in the wrong building you want that one down the street."
I decided, I'm gonna go to lunch real quick. Well that lunch was extended a lot.
Someone I sat next to, he works with cgi tech, asked me some questions that I helped him with -

- Linked his website email and his google email to his Yahoo account.

- Sent him a contact info comment to his work email to show him that it would forward to his yahoo email

- Comment showed up and he was able to finally open his companies domain email through the comment that had been forwarded of which I sent.

He said that I would be great at working as an IT.

He also bought me a sandwich for helping him out.

It's like I said, everything happens for a reason

It seems truer by the day :)

My day was very productive, helped someone, networked and made a friend and found out there's a certain job that I'd be good at after being complimented by the person, and not to mention I got a little sandwich for helping him. I even said I'm just helping, it's what I do.

Even though I didn't get the food stamps, I still had a productive day.

I do. Maybe an IT is something I'll look into. Troubleshooting, etc.
He even commented saying
'maybe we'll be working together someday.'
When someone usually says something along these lines, in my view that means they are impressed by you, and you made a good impression on them, especially if you, yourself, don't have MUCH experience or knowledge, and yet you still make it all happen. It's like, everything somehow comes naturally.

Also the saying "it's not what you know, but who you know" comes into play, because hey i found a new job field to perhaps follow, networked, and he might possibly allow me to put him as a reference or even recommend me to a boss, etc.

Oh because I networked? Made a new friend AND got a possible job opportunity? After I helped him with skills I didn't think I had. That's called being productive.

you want to give me the finger? really?
