I will speak for myself, but also for a segment of the "gay" community: we WILL stop not at equality, but at the end of persecution.

We just want to feel safe. Whether someone thinks of me or us as equals is of no great importance to me. But "unfortunately" people often mistreat people they consider unequal to them, hence the "fight for equality".

The real goal is to end persecution.
