I think op got a point, on tv gays are extremly over-representive, especially on american tv-shows.
I like to watch animated show like south park, family guy, american dad and the likes, and they are fill with gay refrences. I think it's too much at times.

Anyway I know a gay couple and they just fine, nice people, you wouldn't even know they were gay if you wasen't told, but I also know one from work who are excatly like the worst stereotype on tv, I find him disgusting at times, a total sex-pervert, even hitting on customers even though he knows they are straigt.
