With men on men there is only anal or oral sex. Statistically speaking, if the total number of sexual interactions were held equal between the two couples and there was an equal distribution of sex acts, then the gay male couple would be performing anal sex 50% of the time and the hetero couple would be performing anal sex only 33% of the time. From this article it still sounds like there is a risk of anal incontinence if the act is not performed very carefully and not vigorously. What man is not vigorous?
