people who answered 9 should go back to school. the final operation is not 3*3=9, it's 3/3=1. that sign with the two dots above and below the dash means division, not multiplying.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1368063Oops, and people wonder why we have third world countries. Multiplication and division are the same operation and are performed "simultaneously" in an abstract sense. OR Performed LEFT TO RIGHT as written. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1309528No they're not. "Simultaneously in an abstract sense"?? What kind of idiot bullshit is that????? Division is done FIRST. PERIOD!!! Proof that you have to evaluate division first: 3*4/5*6 If you incorrectly evaluate multiplication first you get: 3*4/5*6 12/30 .4 If you correctly evaluate division first you get: 3*4/5*6 3*.8*6 14.4 .4 is NOT 14.4! Order of operations bitches! Don't forget it!
