you get 1 if you set this:
=6/(2*(1+2))
Quoting: DUCM900 You get 9 if and ONLY if you set this: (6÷2)(1+2) The brackets were removed when you solved the equation in parentheses so it was 6÷2*3 but you have to now solve left to right And PEMDAS IS WRONG and algebra and distributive property are not relavent here because we are not doing algebra OK so lets do it your way 6÷2(1+2)= ? is not the same as 6 ----- (2+4) You are confusing fractions with division
