Here is one with addition:

12x² y ÷ 4x + (6x – x)²

I see the idiots are out tonight. "it is 9, because it is". You are a retarded troll... troll on.
Here is what you DON'T know:
(6/2) must be in parentheses to multiply something also in ( ).
6 ÷ 2n = 3/n
(6/2) must be in ( ) to distribute. In this equation, is is not, so we distribute the 2.

Here is your lesson, once again. Go learn, or remain ignorant: [link to cstl.syr.edu]

Dumb dumb dumb...

Variables
In algebraic expressions, letters represent variables. These letters are actually numbers in disguise. In this expression, the variables are x and y. We call these letters "variables" because the numbers they represent can vary—that is, we can substitute one or more numbers for the letters in the expression.
 Quoting: math.com

God you know absolutely nothing about math, let alone the equation at hand. You can't solve THIS equation, nor any of the other ones I gave you... you don't know the identity law, the distributive property, or what a variable is. Who failed grade 3 ????

PEMDAS, Parenthesis, exponents, multiplication OR division left to right, Addition OR subtraction left to right.

6/2(1+2)
6/2(3)
3(3)
9

But, this was not taught to people this way before the seventies, because I know people in their 60s and 70's will disagree to the grave on how to do this.

6 / 2 (1+2)=

6 / 2 * 3 = 9

Answer is 9

Work out the bit in parenthesis first
Then work left to right

It's just basic math. You don't have to believe me if you don't want to.

I'll put this here:

It’s important to note that not all calculators handle the order of operations in the standard way.
