All but a few of the Seismic Servers for the USA were taken offline by the USGS.

i know you can get some independent readings for a few locations here and there, but this makes me a bit nervous that they took mosT servers offline on this particular site

The Heliocorder sites are all operable- you will see some discrepancies with last dates posted going back to yesterday- My only thoughts on this is that they were hoping to keep the freak outs to a minimum with the bombing of the levees as you will clearly see the movements on the seismograms within the same timespans as the blasts-

Re: ALERT: Why did the USGS take almost all the USA Seismic Servers offline?!
The only thing I can conclude, NiN is the Mississippi.

NOAA radars went down right at the beginning of the tornado outbreak, if I remember correctly. EBS alerts going off in areas with zero weather today (Massachusetts, Washington state, from the threads I've seen so far). The ShakeOut scheduled 4/28 was never reported on AT ALL, and now this...

It's time. pinnnage

For what it's worth, there was a bad earthquake in October 2005 after a series of strong hurricanes pounded the Gulf region. These recent tornadoes seem similar in that they were history making weather events. Only time will tell.

Makes me think about the big hurricane in Australia and the EQ in New Zealand shortly after...

Why is it that when someone tells you that there’s billions of stars in the universe, you believe them. But if they tell you there’s wet paint somewhere you have to touch it?

Re: ALERT: Why did the USGS take almost all the USA Seismic Servers offline?!
Well apparently USGS doesn't even know.

The lady that I spoke to said maybe it was a server problem.
I asked to speak with someone else, so she transferred me...
no answer....went to voice mail.

So I called back and spoke with same lady again.
She told me they are all in a meeting...she put me through
to a different line....same thing.

Re: ALERT: Why did the USGS take almost all the USA Seismic Servers offline?!
They already blew up the other levee today around 12:30 or so central time. Their was 5 distinct blasts. Don't know on what part of the river they blew it but it shook the shit out of the house. Dogs were running around panicking outside lol that was funny to watch.
It felt like an earthquake it was so powerful.

Truth be known, they know how good you all have become at diagnosing their plans, reading their charts and analyzing their statistics.
They've done the same with your solar and haarp charts. If these guys could they would hire you all because you know their data better than they do!!!!LOL

1.)

That is of course because they expect a superearthquake of at least magnitude 11, that will divide The US into 8 pieces. Eh... and they don't want anyone to observe the quake and prove how strong it is.

2.) Maintenance repair(change of battery), change of location.

Chose your explanation.

Here is the global page. There were only a few taken down on this page. Not like the US page.

I think the thing here is to see which were taken down and to see if they are key areas where earthquakes happen from time to time. That may give a clue here.

budget cuts limit maintenance/update of equpiment & some piece of it fails
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1291530

this is not from the equipment failing though
the equipment that records seismic events is located all over the country. They would not all go bad at the same time
if it was a site issue, then there would not be even one of the recordings being posted, and there is
 Quoting: NiNzrez

i have a suggestion for you...call the usgs people and ask for access to what you are monitoring....if they won't give it to you, post that fact......also post who you talked to please...
