Do some angel research! Black is not evil like so many seem to believe! Its a naturally grounding color,it represents power, mystery, & formal elegance! When added to white(light) it represents the perfect union or balance!
Archangel Cassiel for one shows himself very often with black wings! So much so that some call him the Gothic angel!
Angels are Gods messengers it will never harm you!They will however help you with your divine plan by guiding you to the right path etc.You can learn to call on the angels and that will help you to learn which one it was based on their energy etc.
