It sounds like he actually may have used hemp seed oil which is not illegal currently and does not get you high. This is one of this plants greatest products, although I do believe that whole cannabis is more effective when certain medical conditions are present, the seed oil itself is remarkable in reducing inflammation, pain and inducing healing. I went from 1200 mg of ibuprofen a day to none in 2 days after using this oil. Prior to that I had been bedridden due to severe pain and progressive immobility for 4 years. I suppose I could have easily qualified for medical MJ but this worked so well I never needed it. I'm also not too crazy about being part of a database of users or having my thoughts clouded. The illness had already left me cloudy enough and tired all the time so being high would have been a negative for me, although I saw it help my mom when she was on chemo. Apparently, pharma thinks so too because they are going ahead with stage 3 on Sativex which is whole cannabis liquid coinciding with a crackdown on cannabis dispensaries.

The main fact here though is that, despite researchers trying to find a lethal or at least harmful dose, no harmful dose of cannabis is possible. No brain damage has ever been shown. No long term damage to the brain or body has ever been shown beyond some minor lung effects in heavy smokers. It is the only known substance which has no potential for overdose at all. Even too much water at one time can kill.
Natural cannabis never has or will kill anyone.
Spending billions to prosecute and jail nonviolent people for using a harmless substance in their own homes is stupid, un-American and it is something we can no longer afford as our economy slides. This is even more heinous when these are sick people being persecuted.
