How an average rational person can help the struggle for common good? I really like the intended outcome, so much I can fight and die for it. Most people ask how to survive. Well, what do you do now if survival is the second priority after the primary cause?

Hello Cammi, i guess he is trying to be neither.
Control seems to be his hang-up. Hence the programming, balancing acts, need for magic and his interest in past and future.
I'd guess his group once signed a negative contract and are trying to fullfill that contract by using a double edged sword to balance their deeds. Operating beyond polarity seems important to him. But I might be misguided... :-)
