It was surreal how all the broadcasters in unison claimed that Romney had won.

I believe what the broadcasters say deeply influences the observer. People flock to believe what they are told to believe.

Did something change? Because before tonight it seemed clear that Obama was going to win.

I would guess it would have to be something behind the scenes.
