In 2005, they released what was eventually called Sichuan Sheet. It killed between 100,000 and 200,000 peasants with Ebola like symptoms.

This looks like it might be a massive improvement over Sichuan Sheet. In other words, their bioweapons program has greatly improved.

Before that they had "The Great Leap Forward" where millions were killed in villages all across Communist China. The orders from Chairman Mao at that time were very simple, "Kill anybody for anything you suspect."

When my ship sailed into Hong Kong, there were floating bloated bodies up to a hundred miles out to sea. They had washed down river from the thousands of villages where the Red Guards were carrying out Mao's instructions.

It helped reduce their population a little, but the first use a a designer virus was in 2005. The Chinese panicked when it got into the pig population within a week of being released, so they tried frantically to stop it and succeeded.

This time, it looks like they have the right illness. It kills and is very effective. If it continues without mutation, they might reduce their population by one third and would improve their economy int he process. They have a lot of "Useless Eaters."
