My mother died in '98. I still miss her so much. Mother's Day to me is just a farce! And, yes, I am a mother.

i do not think your mother would've wanted you to die over her, she would've wanted you to live

The way I look it is that my parents lived before I lived... before I was born. [There was a period when they lived and I did not.]

Then I was born and they raised me to adulthood.
Now both of my parents have passed on.

So in a way, now that they are gone, now is my time to use the principles that they taught me to find my own way thru life. Now is the Test to see how well I listened to them, how much I learned from them and how well I can raise my children.

My parents live through me now.

wow, sometimes I forget the way things are for alot of people. It must be hard.

I never had a mother just a monster who beat me mentally, physically and emotionally and whose last words to me as an adult were "I hope you die of cancer".

For some of you, let's be glad your mother doesn't work here. For the rest of you, sorry you miss your mothers. When Mothers Day comes, just .... pretend it is ... Presidents Day. We don't miss the Presidents do we, not really.

OMG fkg shit (Had to add that because this is the glp)

Yes, my mom died two years ago, I have such an empty hole in my heart. I dream about her alot. I miss her so much that I have asked The Lord to please let me die. She was such a good, kind person. I never remember her getting mad ever. I begged her not to leave me but she told me she could not help it. I know she is in such a better place. I love my mother. Her name was Trudie Mae

You mother lives on within you (same goes if you had a bad mother...) so for some it can be a burden and for others a blessing...no one is truly dead and buried unless they are forgotten. Missing her means you're keeping her memory alive, so in a sense she's still with you. That's real immortality. Don't know if that's comforting...I hope it is in small way.

I lost my mother in 1999 to ovarian cancer. I am a child of the 50's my mother was the typical beautiful perfect Mom, a mixture between Donna Reed and Lucille Ball, Later in life she was Betty White in looks and dress.. Women from those days of depression, WW11.. were amazing, strong, yet feminine, always willing to smile and cheer people up. They took pride in being presentable no matter what time of day, devoted to their familys church PTA... I not only miss her but I miss those good ole days when women were real women not sluts.

Re: Does anybody else miss their Mother so much they want to die?
My Mom died a little over two years ago. I miss her very much and think of her often.
She was always a wonderful loving and giving Mom.
Even though I tended to be handful at times we were very close.

I miss her terrible but instead of wanting to die I just feel very different about death and rather just look foward to the day I will see her again.

Happy Mothers Day Mom.. I love you

Well, my mom was a soldier's wife during WWII. Dad was in the Pacific and did not see his child until she was almost 3 years old. She was strong through all of this. No communication like now. I miss them.

Re: Does anybody else miss their Mother so much they want to die?
I miss my dear mother very very much, and she was not perfect by any means, but she did the best she could with what she had and she loved us more than anything in this world, including herself.

That went a long way and I would never have done anything to disappoint her because of her love and dreams for me.

My father died when I was only 8 and she was left with three small children, no insurance and she only had an 8th grade education. Worked three jobs waitressing to keep us with food and off the streets.

She was a strong loving woman and I miss her so much. She died four years ago.

I am so sorry you're sad. I agree with the post below.. all I want is for my own child to grow up and be happy. It would break my heart if I caused her so much pain.

On Mother's Day it's ok to miss your Mom - but celebrate that you were lucky enough to win the Mommy lottery. It's not as common as it should be in this world.
