Re: Department of Homeland Security going into underground storage facility.
The art museum of Chicago keeps storage at an old nuclear bomb shelter in northwest Illinois. I happened across it reading meters about 10 years ago. I only ever found one other underground facility reading meters, and that was somewhere near the Illinois/Wisconsin border. The entrance looked like one of the buildings Luke Skywalker grew up in. The owner had even built a guard shack next to a cattle fence, complete with a fake security guard and a CCTV camera. The owner probably had a hundred acres of land, and there were barns on the property (with more cameras), but no visible house. Kind of creeped me out really.
"What you have just said, is the most insanely idiotic thing I have ever heard. At no point, in your rambling incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul."

Your picture is to small to read.

What does the "storage inside cave" sign say?
 Quoting: Madigan

I up loaded the larges size and they came out small.

i could be very wrong but i dont think this is what it seems to be. Benjamin Franklin left the Constitutional Convention in 1787, He was approached by a Mrs. Powell, who asked him, "What have you given us, Dr. Franklin?"
"A Republic," he replied, "If you can keep it.

I have always delivered/loaded frozen or near frozen good out of these caves.

But I drag around a refer trailer that could be the difference in the products hauled.

If I had a cell phone witha camera back then I would have. I think I can remember where the bomb shelter was, but I can't for the life of me remember where the other one was. The weird thing, was that the property entrance was right in a subdivision, and his acreage spanned the length of the subdivision on the north side. The neighbor told me that he was some sort of "survival nut". I didn't tell him that I was too, hehe.

You have to figure when TSHTF you will eat what is available and if this place is locked down the food that is stored down there will not be given to you and I that is certain.

oh, will this is interesting, I didn't realize there were commercial underground cave storage systems. That explains YOUR concern about the HomelandSecurity police then. I made an automatic conclusion these were government caves.

Rev 6:14 And heaven departed like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
Rev 6:15 And the sovereigns of the earth, and the great ones, and the rich ones, and the commanders, and the mighty, and every slave and every free one, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,
Rev 6:16 and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him sitting on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb,

Re: Department of Homeland Security going into underground storage facility.
I for one find these kind of things extremely disturbing (vaulting treasures and bunker building etc.)

So many commentators regard them as something 'routine,' or just 'precautionary.'

There is nothing insignificant about such operations or the amount of money that's being spent on them.

The saying we had in the Navy was, "You don't put on a condom unless your gonna f_ck."

Thanks. Interesting anyway, didn't know KANSAS had these, but it will be high and dry too during earth changes.
 Quoting: Nobody in Particular

There are some old underground salt mines in Hutchinson, KS (just west of Wichita) which people are always claiming are "bunkers" - been around for years. We stored our old records there because it was climate-controlled and very dry. I assume that the facility which OP is talking about is similar.

Florida has them too.

"Day of the Dead" was filmed in one.

If there is a global killer out there in space or we end up frying ourselves by fracking into the earths mantle, I don’t think the bunker will make a difference; only postpone the inevitable nuclear winter and total destruction.

BTW folks be careful about taking pics of things with cellphones, the pic stores information about where the pic was taken and who it was taken by. Just in case you didn't know.
